Shannon and Jennifer Carr operate Little Bitterroot River Simmental which was established by Shannon’s great grandfather in 1911.  Shannon and Jennifer were recently married in 2017 and have purchased half of the ranch from Shannon’s parents, Frank and Marilynn.  This brings the Stoltey and Carr families together who both have deep roots in Simmental dating back to the 1970’s.  Shannon & Jennifer first met in 2006 when Shannon took LBR Crockett to Denver.  Jennifer did all the fitting for that event which resulted in a Reserve Champion Pen of Three Bulls and Grand Champion Pen of Three Heifers.  Crockett can be found in many prominent pedigrees today and is well known for his maternal strength.  We are growing our operation and continue to focus on those maternal strengths as well as balanced traits across the board.  We produce reds, blacks, purebred and percentage Simmental and will always strive to produce cattle with longevity and performance in mind.
